Mr-Glass Construction in Sedco Hills, CA | Toolbox Contractors
We provide General Contractor in Sedco Hills with independent Mr-Glass service across the area, handling everything from frameless shower enclosures to window and door glass replacement. What makes our Mr-Glass work different here comes down to one thing: we know how Riverside County permitting and sloped-lot foundations affect every glass opening in this unincorporated community. Toolbox Contractors installs, repairs, and replaces Mr-Glass products throughout Sedco Hills, and we’ve learned firsthand what these hills demand. Call (855) 382-3257 for a free estimate.
Why Sedco Hills Residents Choose Us for Mr-Glass Service
Our crew has installed and serviced Mr-Glass windows, shower enclosures, mirrors, and railing systems across the unincorporated hills of Sedco Hills for years. Norm Castellano grew up in the Muscoy area just northwest of San Bernardino, spent two decades doing residential framing, roofing, and full gut-and-rebuilds across the Inland Empire, and now runs Toolbox Contractors with a tight crew he trusts. He’s the guy you call when a previous contractor left a mess that needs untangling before real work can start. That background matters when we’re templating and anchoring glass to survive the intense inland sun and seasonal monsoon downpours that define this region. We understand Mr-Glass sales & service from the inside out, and we bring that depth to every job in Sedco Hills.
We’re an independent Mr-Glass service provider, not manufacturer-affiliated or authorized. That independence means we recommend what actually works for your home, whether that’s a straightforward repair or a full replacement. We’re licensed and insured, and our estimates are free.

Common Mr-Glass Construction Problems We Solve in Sedco Hills
- Frameless shower door hinges loosen and bind. Hillside foundations in Sedco Hills settle over time, especially on sloped lots where soil shifts seasonally. When the substrate moves even a fraction of an inch, Mr-Glass frameless shower doors swing out of alignment and the hinges start to bind. We re-hang doors, replace worn hinge hardware, and shim where needed so the glass moves cleanly again.
- Exterior window and door glass develops stress cracks. Hot inland Riverside County summers push thermal expansion hard, especially on west-facing walls in Sedco Hills where afternoon sun hits full force. Older single-pane Mr-Glass units crack under that repeated expansion and contraction. We replace them with properly glazed units rated for this climate.
- Mirror silvering degrades and edges corrode. Many Sedco Hills homes are older ranch-style builds with bathrooms that lack proper ventilation. High humidity attacks the silvering on Mr-Glass mirrors from the edges inward, leaving black spots and cloudy patches. We assess whether re-silvering or replacement makes more sense for your glass.
- Glass railing panels pull loose from anchors. The dry heat in Sedco Hills dries out wood framing beneath decks and balconies. When that framing shrinks, Mr-Glass railing anchors lose their grip and panels start to feel loose or rattle. We re-anchor panels and replace deteriorated hardware before a wobble becomes a safety issue.
- Fogged insulated glass units. Monsoon-season humidity and wide temperature swings here accelerate seal failure in double-pane Mr-Glass windows. Once the seal goes, fog settles between the panes permanently. We replace the glass unit and address the frame condition at the same time.
Mr-Glass Service in Sedco Hills: What Local Conditions Mean for Your Equipment
Because Sedco Hills is unincorporated, any Mr-Glass installation that involves altering a wall opening or adding a new window or door must be permitted through Riverside County Building & Safety, not a city department. County plan check often requires a soils report on sloped lots before approving the rough opening. That step adds weeks to a project, but it ensures the glass is anchored to stable ground. We’ve done this enough times in Sedco Hills to know when a soils report will be triggered and how to sequence the work so you’re not waiting on paperwork longer than necessary. Out-of-area builders get tripped up by this. We plan for it from day one. Serving Sedco Hills service area means knowing these county-level requirements cold.
Mr-Glass Models & Products We Service in Sedco Hills
We work on the full Mr-Glass product range: Frameless Shower Enclosures, Custom Mirrors & Mirror Walls, Glass Railing Systems, and Window & Door Glass Replacement. For parts, we source OEM or equivalent-quality aftermarket hardware, including hinges, seals, and clamps, all matched to Mr-Glass specifications. We stock common hinge and seal kits locally so most Sedco Hills shower enclosure repairs don’t wait on shipping, and we also offer Mr-Glass service in Canyon Lake. When a repair isn’t the right call, we tell you straight rather than padding the invoice with band-aids.

FAQs – Mr-Glass Construction in Sedco Hills
No, a direct shower enclosure replacement that doesn’t alter the wall opening or plumbing typically doesn’t require a permit. But if you’re changing the footprint, moving walls, or adding a new window or door opening, Riverside County Building & Safety will need to review and approve the plans. Call (855) 382-3257 and we’ll tell you which category your project falls into.
In most Sedco Hills cases we see, the sticking comes from hillside settling shifting the wall or curb under the door, which throws the hinge alignment off. The fix usually involves re-hanging the door and adjusting or replacing the hinge hardware, not a full glass replacement. We can assess it during a free estimate call.
Yes. Uneven walls and sloped ceilings are common in Sedco Hills homes, especially older ranch builds on hillside lots. We template the glass to the actual opening, not assumed dimensions, and use adjustable channel and hinge systems that accommodate the irregularities. Call (855) 382-3257 and we’ll measure yours.
Low-E coated, tempered glass handles the inland Riverside County sun best. The low-E coating cuts solar heat gain, and tempered construction resists thermal stress better than standard annealed glass, which matters on west-facing walls that bake every afternoon. We install Mr-Glass units with these specs regularly in Sedco Hills and nearby communities, including Mr-Glass service in Quail Valley.
If the edge corrosion has crept more than a few inches inward or the glass itself is pitted, replacement is the better long-term call. If the silvering failure is minimal and the glass is sound, re-silvering can restore it. We evaluate both options honestly, and estimates are free, so call (855) 382-3257 to find out.
